ABOUT JOLT NEBRASKA
BE A Participant IN YOUR OWN LIFE
THE CHALLENGE
47% of people with a mood, anxiety or substance abuse disorder believe they need mental health care and cite cost or lack of insurance as a primary reason for not obtaining care. We regularly work with clients who are financially strapped and emotionally bankrupt, unable to ask for help due to social exclusion and low self-esteem. Individual discrimination results in reduced assistance from family and friends.
The SOLUTION
It is remarkable to see the positivity in people when they understand that others care about them enough to obtain funding for services they need. Jolt works with the community to help families obtain assistance to receive mental health evaluations and treatment. We help people get therapy and mentoring for substance abuse, mental illness, trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders and domestic violence. Jolt also provides scholarships for individuals pursuing education in the Health and Human Services field and aid for those who seek vocational workshops and seminars.

HISTORY
When I started JOLT Nebraska in 2012, the JOLT Nebraska Recovery/Communications skills training program to help felons recover from substance abuse and enhance their job opportunities after prison was developed. JOLT Nebraska works with the Nebraska correctional system and substance abuse treatment centers in Lincoln and Omaha.
We provide funding for people needing quality mental health care. We continually sees individuals who cannot afford the costs. Some believe they can handle their issues without treatment, and most individuals just do not know where to go for help.
Jolt Nebraska will provide support for evaluations that will offer a clear diagnosis for each person, and help them receive the proper treatment necessary for care. We also furnish financial aid for mental health programming to assist families, churches and correctional facilities.
Jolt Nebraska offers the Judy Fletcher Memorial Scholarship. This $2,000 annual award is given to an individual who is studying to be in the human services industry. We also issue financial aid for workshops and seminars for people working in the mental health field.
We want people to know we understand the sense of urgency that comes with treating mental health issues. We are here for you. One of the hardest decisions for all of us is to help ourselves. Reach out to us, and we will help you navigate your journey to be the best you.
